Customized Ipe Pier Decking Balance Works also offers custom Ipe pier decking so your pier will look great after 50 yrs! We can build pallets to fit the existing frame of a pier system, or size and cut individual boards to plank your pier. Balance Works decking incorporates the same quality craftsmanship found in our furniture. Each pier board of a Balance Works decking receives the same detailed attention to the routing of edges and sanding of corners and surfaces.We often work with local pier contractors to custom fit an Ipe hardwood deck to most pier systems, except floating docks*. If you don’t have a trusted pier contractor, Balance Works offers galvanized steel sectional frames or aluminum roll-away dock systems. * Floating docks generally cannot support the weight of Ipe hardwood due to the wood’s high density and heavier weight. When considering Ipe (or other dense wood) for the decking of an existing or new pier system, it is very important to ensure that your pier can support the weight of your preferred hardwood decking. |
